"Fashionably Late" Donnis (Review)
B.O.B and J.Cole are a few southern rappers that I've enjoyed hearing from, besides them and the excluded few the dirty south doesn't really get much play in my home. Although with this latest mixtape from Donnis, one of the XXL 2010 freshman, that excluded few just got a new member. " Fashionably late" a highly anticipated mix-tape from Atlanta's own. It took me a while to get into this one, i was a fan of "Gone" a single of his last piece of work but after not hearing a follow up i felt that he may be a one hitter until his album drops. A few minutes in and i was already syncing tracks to my ipod. "Yup","Folk Tales", "Tonight", are a few of my favorite songs of the mixt-tape and "Vampire Interlude" just because it sounds so different from the rest. So far the 2010 summer mixtapes are coming great...why isnt the radio playing more of this i have no clue.
"Music Monday" -Hi Jynx (Mixtape and Review)
A couple of months ago Hi-Jynx hit me up asking me to listen to this track. He followed me on twitter so i gave it a listen (desperate for followers at the time). I bumped the track, replied back telling him "it was good but could be better." I wanted to see progress from this guy so I followed back, he messaged me afterwards saying thanks for the follow and he gave me a link to the rest of his mix-tape. I jammed with it for a couple of hours running around even with the slow songs. I didn't have much to do with it but now thanks to joining the Fat Boy Radio team i am given the chance to tell you guys who don't know about it how great it is. "Music Monday" a trending topic on twitter, now Hi-Jynx debut mix-tape. The flow and level of "Killin" is something everyone should take note on. Im a fan of sampling and soulful beats so "Victory" gets instantly synced to the ipod, do wish it was longer though. Now at the end of the mixtape im sitting here waiting to hear the next big Jynx project, If you don't like "Music Monday" go Jynx yourself....STEADY SON!!!

New Kingdom – Naked Time (REVIEW & DOWNLOAD)
"Well that's an interesting picture..no homo" were my first
thoughts when i saw this album cover. New kingdom: Naked
time isn't your typical EP with a different sound and style then
the current main stream and indie they've easily caught my
attention. Usually i listen to hip hop and R&B; Ok and a few indie
artist, a little Cold Play, Maroon 5, Kings of Leon here and there
but this was way out of the norm for me. Least to say i enjoyed
every track of it, an EP to fist pump in your mothers kitchen hasn't
come along in a while so why not do it with new kingdom? I can't
suggest any tracks to listen to first so get the whole thing! and if you
think its whack thats your problem that you should see someone
about. The intern approves of Naked Time!!!

Truthfully I've never been a fan of Rick Ross' flow. I've enjoyed the song more when he was on hooks and features but him doing a solo track just never caught my attention. This EP is no different with the exception of a few tracks i wouldn't cop if i had to pay. If your a long time Rick Ross fan knock yourself out though it has plenty of guest artist such as Neyo, Yo-Gotti, John Legend and many more dropping bars and hooks. I can say a few things positive about it though, the energy "Mc Hammer" gives off is a good look and "Fire Hazard" has that top down feel so it gets a pass. But heres a real compliment, the track i enjoyed the most was "Nasty ft Masspike Mike," a bonus track as it should be. The hook and melody of the track gets the Interns approval as for the ones not mentioned go check em out for yourself.

Shad P- Lottery Pick (REVIEW)
Shad-p has made a fan and supporter out of me with this one.
Putting Queens on the map a natural story teller with witty verses
and catchy choruses. The lottery pick is one of those mix-tapes
you tell all of your friends about even if they never heard of him,
almost makes me feel like I'm in the 3rd grade again with the old
soulful beats on some of these tracks. The flash back style in
" Hip-hop ft kayla Bliss" gives you isn't something you want to miss
out on. Those head banger choruses on "That's me," "Game Winner," "
and "Point Em out" makes this a great sound track to roll around in the
car with. Although after the "If thats Ok ft Breeze" track i wouldn't trust
him around your girl. A great mix-tape to start the summer 2010
underground hits of with.

Melo-X new mix-tape is an enlightenment for those new listeners such as myself. Not forcing himself to be something he's not, his flow seems to come as natural as breathing. The up tempo feel on "Cali4neonlights" and the cool head banger beat for the lovers with "Black Apple with Love" easily make them one of my favorites on the tape. While some tracks didn't come up to par with the rest its still a great listen from start to finish.

Copywrite- "Poorly Promote This" (High and Mighty Diss)
After over a year of trying to work with Mighty Mi to
take T.H.E. High Exhaulted off of I tunes and getting
no where, Copywrite has finally erupted. Copywrite had
approached Milo over a year ago about wanting to
re-release his debut album since there was never a
formal contract between the two he felt there would
be no issue. Milo however felt differently and would
not give Copywrite permission to include a couple of
the tracks that Milo had done production for on the
re-release. Copywrite accepted that but insisted that
T.H.E High Exhaulted be taken down off of I Tunes and
anywhere else Milo might have it for sale. A year later
Milo still has not done this. "Poorly Promote This" was
born out of Copywrite's frustration with how Milo and
Eon handled the promotion of his first record and the
recent chatter that has been heard about him re-releasing
his classic debut.
